The landscaping to a new school often differs from the landscaping to a normal commercial development in that there are often plants and other materials that cannot be used in a school scheme usually for health and safety reasons.

There are also child protection issues as works may be taking place within a live school environment where site staff will have to be CRB checked.

We have experience of these unique requirements and our risk assessments and method statements reflect what is required.

Another critical aspect with any school project are the deadlines which must to be met due to term time constraints.

As usually the last trade on site, we are always at the sharp end of the programme and are therefore used to having to meet and beat these deadlines.

There are a number of features which typically appear on many school projects, they can include:

Amphitheatre/outdoor learning areas - we have constructed these out of timber or concrete.

Timber covered walkways-linking school buildings - we are able to construct these as part of a package of specialist external works.

Raised garden beds - Sleeper raised beds are a popular solution and they may form part of a school garden where the children are able to grow fruit and vegetables.
